Curriculum
The Learning Barn Childcare Center & Preschool, LLC follows the CT ELDS, Early Learning Development Standards of Connecticut, while planning, developing and implementing curriculum which will provide teachers with the instructional guidelines necessary for developing age-appropriate learning activities for children. We follow these standards as part of our ongoing development of this Center. We apply these standards of teaching in our flexible schedule which allows time for indoor and outdoor play, social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development.
The Learning Barn Childcare Center & Preschool, LLC provides experiences that are based on the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS) The CT ELDS describes learning progressions of what children birth to five years should know and be able to do. These learning progressions include learning and development in the following domains:

Infants
Chicky Coop Room
Our infant program offers the safety, nurturing and continuous development of children aged 6 weeks to 18 months. Our experienced staff is trained and ready to take care of your little one. We are sure to maintain Connecticut State regulations of 1 teacher to 4 infants. Our goal is to provide you with the peace of mind you need when your child is not with you.
Toddlers
HoneyBee Hill Rooms A,B,C & D
As your toddler becomes more mobile we offer fun, exploration and play with plenty of hands on learning experiences. We are sure to maintain Connecticut State regulations of 1 teacher to 4 toddlers.
Preschool
Silly Silo Rooms A, B & C
Your preschooler will learn how to work well with others, follow directions, and have fun with art, music & movement and so much more. We are sure to maintain Connecticut State regulations of 1 teacher to 10 preschoolers.
